Who We Are

St. Raphael’s had its humble beginning as a primary school way back in 1928. The congregation of the Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit, ( SSpS) came to be associated with the school form 1936 onwards, nurtured its growth into a Secondary School (1941) and formally took over the management of the school in 1948. As such it is one of the older Christian Schools in the country.

The congregation of the SSpS sisters is an international Catholic religious order, founded by St. Arnold Janssen in 1889 and has its headquarters in Rome. The main area of activity of the order is education of the girls. The SSpS sisters now manage educational and related institutions in 52 different countries and bring to their educational institutions the fruits of the collective wisdom and insights gathered over more than 130 years.

The secret of the success of our educational institution is a community of teachers who are committed to their vocation, professionally competent, morally upright, just, humane in their dealing and culturally sensitive. We encourage our students to be positive, think independently, become responsible and confident. We pride ourselves creating and providing an atmosphere that would motivate, inspire, encourage and support every girl entrusted to our care, to turn out to be the amazing persons.

The motto of the school is “Loving Service” which has inspired and will inspire generation of youngsters to give their best for God and country. We train our students to reach out to the economically backward and the underprivileged. We motivate our students to be committed individuals who have respect for all forms of life, cultures and religions. The ideals enshrined in the Constitution of India coincide with these same values. We work towards creating a society in which all human beings can live happily and peacefully.

We look forward to a warm and a lifelong relationship with you and your child!

Motto

The motto “Loving Service” epitomizes the spirit and core values that both drive and permeate our endeavours in the educational field. For us it is a labour of love undertaken with abundant good will for one and all. We want our students to imbibe the message of our motto and adapt it as the guiding principle in their own lives within and outside the school.
